We recently http://londonbikers.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=35&MessageID=45547 that we’ve partnered up with Focused Events as our track day partner to help get members to the track, and onto it in as best an environment as possible. All members are invited! The idea is to get people to the track who either haven’t been before but are interested in, and those who already do trackdays. Those who haven’t been before, but are interested in finding out more about their bike in a safe place are more than welcome! You don’t even have to go on the track, you can just come for a ride-out and enjoy the day!
Why Go?
Trackdays are the best place to explore the performance of your bike, it’s also far safer than riding on the road. The quality of the track is amazing, everybody is going the same direction, there’s no cars, no diesel, no pot-holes, no flashing blue lights and you have the best people around you to ensure you have the best time possible.
It’s not a race, so don’t think you’ll have to ride a certain speed, you won’t. You’ll only be expected to ride at the pace that is comfortable to you, and don’t worry about being slow, there’s always someone slower out there! You can go just to explore the performance of your bike, to improve your cornering, accelerating and braking skills, or to just see what it’s like to ride like the professional racers do!
You can also come just to see what it’s like, watch the event from the pit-lane and enjoy the day out.
Details
Full details of the event will be sent to you by Focused Events upon booking, though briefly; this is a full dawn-till-dusk trackday, which is special in itself, and means it’ll run all day from morning to evening, and a BBQ will be put on as well. This even is also being attended by ‘Superbike’ magazine. Because of the length of the day, you would be wise to pace yourself and opt-out of some sessions to ensure fatigue doesn’t set in.
Those who come along will be supported by the LB staff, i.e. assigned a dedicated LB garage where other members will be based, to allow us all to stick together and share the experience. Photos and video will be taken and be made available on the LB website later on. All Focused Events have highly qualified instructors on track to ensure a safe and productive ride is had for all.
Don’t worry if you can’t get on track, or have reservations about doing so! Just come along and spectate, be a part of the day and evenign, mingle in the LB garage, soaking it all up. This will give you an insight into what a trackday constitutes and induct you to the awesome world of high-speed motorcyling ![]()

Costs
The regular price is £155. If we get ten members or more (easy!) then you get a £10 discount, so it’ll be £145. This is exceptional value for the GP circuit, which is very long and considering it includes an evening session and BBQ as well!
How to book
Go to http://londonbikers.com/partners/focusedevents.aspx and use the form at the bottom (you need to be signed-in) to have Focused Events contact you and take your booking. Doing it this way means we can keep track of who’s going, and Focused Events know you’re an LB member, so can qualify for your discount.
Notes
Please note that LB makes no financial gain from this, we’ve negotiated this deal for the benefit of the community. As such, we’re also not liable for any accidents or damage to your property. This is always the responsibility of you and the people around you. At every trackday, a full saftey briefing is given by the event organisers to ensure that everyone fully understands what’s involved. They also have marshalls and instructors out on track to ensure as safe an event is had as possible.
Londonbikers.com will only provide you with information on how to make the most of your off-track experience in the garages and this is based on our own experiences and it should not be taken as a rule. Focused Eventas has a professional team there to help and guide you.
