LB Highlights for 2007

For me the best bit of 2007 was finding you guys:cool:

The meets i’ve been to this year have all been first class and I’ve met some lovely people from here along the way:)

DJing at the UK’s first Freestyle Motorcycle Stunt Competition …

http://www.stuntuk.com/

It was mucho fun. We were booked after Imortal saw us doing Streetfighter Sunday at The Ace. Close friend and fellow DJ Stu (Flux) did it with me and we played for 9 hours straight on Saturday and 8 hours straight on Sunday. One of the sponsors was Red Bull, and we were sat right next to a fridge full of the stuff, all ice cold. It was a hot day, so you can imagine we were absolutely wired on it … you could say we had wings!

It all had to be one of the finest displays of motorcycling handling skill I’ve ever witnessed in the flesh.

I know it’s not strictly LB, but I’m sure there were a few of us there.

yep i 2nd that, years been brill since i passed my test n got on ma bike, not looked back since, roll on nxt years good weather!

two words. R1 Silverstone

i forgot the france trip was this year, that has to be the best for me. come on Clint start getting the next one planned

Passing my bike test and meeting you lot

There have been many ups and downs this year… doing my 1st couple of trackdays, but picking bits of Cadwell Park out of my fairings on my birthday :pinch:going abroad on the bike for the 1st time, but ending up in the van with a dead bike :crying:meeting some really fab people, but hearing the bitching and backstabbing that goes on :unsure:seeing BMM full of bikes in the sunshine :cool:sussing that riding pillion is a way to experience bikes I can’t reach the ground well enough to ride ;)seeing some of the hilarious bowling techniques used by LBers, but being in the same lane as a couple of ringers :Porganising my first ride out, which everyone survived and most riders seemed to enjoy :Dbut best of all… discovering I’ve made some really good friends (the sort who make sure you are never truely alone when your world starts falling to pieces) :Wow: Thank you

Aaaaaahhh, warm and fuzzy feeling…:stuck_out_tongue:

my highlights were being part of that fantastic group that did France in March with TLB, and going to the BSB in April with Sherrie, johnp, nd Rich m, brilliant! oh and all the fantastic rideouts.

Getting my Tiger, ordering my new street triple for 08:w00t:, getting a new job!:w00t:, getting pulled over by the cops in Earls court with Terry moto as we had races from the traffic lights, oh and copping a feel of debz, knockers. hehe:D

meeting all you lotand making lots of new friends

and having sharon in my lifeand my new bike that will be here thursday

trip throught france with part journey with terry/adam and co…never forget my sore bum…

ride out again with terry and gang, including AfroR1, who reckons I ride too fast…

Chunky monkeys quizzes…

TRACK DAYS TO COME…WITH YOU LOT…I HOPE…

After passing my test in late June, joining LB :stuck_out_tongue: What a bunch

I guess the first rideout with Grimbusa, Debz, Nuts, Adam H and Gina, Ben, Little Miss T etc where I binned the Triumph, great ride and I wouldn’t have the ZX6 if it wasn’t for the accident. Car clubs are not like LB :w00t::slight_smile:

Kent rideout was the next highpoint, what a great way to spend a day, nothing better than bikes, some great people and a ride. Flatout rideout equally high, I could see how far my riding has come on, not to mention the speed

Last trackday at Snetterton too, seeing the speedo just flick to 150 before I braked harder than I thought a bike could brake without hitting the ground.

For me

Getting married, have a awesome honey moon,
Doing a few trackdays
and
Getting my knee down!!!:D:w00t:

My highlight was actually making it to Merlimont Plage, France, 2 up with luggage on a KTM950 Supermoto. I really didn’t think I was going to make it, by around the Harlow exit on the M25 I was ready to turn back, but I gritted my teeth & managed it. Total agony, the most cramped & uncomfortable I have ever been on a bike, but we made it!! :DI will never moan about a bike after that.

Best bits for me,firstly finding LB by mistake, meeting some great likeminded people who just want to talk about bikes:D.Doing a couple of rides and of course the biggest is joining the Breakfast Club runs with Sneaky and Co and surviving so far!!!

Ps. Realising that Ginge obviously had total respect for us fine chaps from the Met…:ermm:

I’m still waiting to see the pics of Ginger ā€œmonowheelingā€ your Beemer:w00t::wink:

The highlights for 2007 for me were meeting some great people:)

Secondly the LB trackdays even though I did not get to do many this year. The LB day at Brands had a great atmosphere, never a dull moment regardless of the weather.

Lastly the ChunkyMonkey quizzes:cool:

Does that mean they are the worst bit about LB?:doze:I’ll get me coat then;)

Very appropriate piece of editing there Chunky, highlight I forgot, numerous Latte’s from Bar Italia!!!

Last but not least old chap!
