LB GOLF Society DAY - Tester thread - Would there be any interest?

Breakfast - 18 holes - Lunch

Have spoken about the idea of a LB golf day to a few of you guys over the past month’s so I know there are some golfers out there. I play club and society golf but have to say this year, since joining LB, I favoured the ride outs and let my golf game go a bit…

Thought initially I’d post the idea up as a tester to see what interest there would be in a LB golf day. Be a good social thing and I guess none golfers could come down for the lunch if they wanted.

We would need at least 8 players to get a deal on a decentish course with food before and after. Could play a stableford competion with trophies or prizes for the winner and runner up. With other prize for longest drive and nearest pin holes…make it a bit more fun.

If it was successfull we could always make it a regular thing do it monthly maybe on a different course each time… then you could run some league tables etc.

I think I would say it’s for handicap golfers only or say thoughs of you that can at least get round a good course in under a 100 gross… I play off 14 currently but have been down to 11

Anway… just for the moment post up if you would be interested and if there is enough I’ll get some prices and look at a date…

Do golf courses allow you to bring bikes on them? I’d have a field (pardon the pun) day on my KTM! :smiley:

might be up for this but only hit under 100 a couple of times,i dont play regular enough i guess.only played once this year,trying to juggle carp fishing and bikes is hard enough lol

funny that. I was riding past hanger lane from ealing today where i used to play pitch n put and thought this would be a brilliant idea :smiley: TBH, I think PnP is better than full golf as it supplies the clubs and only costs £6 or so to play :slight_smile:

thats like saying hiring mini moto’s would be better than ride outs as they supply the bikes and they use less fuel…

I’ve played full gold and find it a bit boring. there are some decent Pnp’s around and are a gr8 laugh. would be funny carrying all my clubs on the bike :w00t::laugh:

‘full golf’ is much much more fun than p’n’p. Anyways, I can’t see uncle geoff trading his 18 holes and nice course for a pikey pitch n put :laugh:
