I see my post and subsequent thread about a known bike thief has been deleted, I assume by Admin?

I guess I can count the London Bikers out of supporting those of us (there are many) who wanted this known thief named and shamed?

Pity, as you are the one collective of bikers who are most affected by the reign of thefts carried out by this crew.

As far as I’m aware I broke no rules or laws, so it must be a forum policy issue.

I suggest that Admin also delete my angrybiker account.

Meanwhile here’s a useful poster, copy it quick, while it lasts…

My thoughts exactly Pete. It was shaping up to be a nice thread too.

No-one seemed to have a problem with it.

I personally witnessed this scrote stealing a bike, and my ID evidence was presented in court. He was also IDd on CCTV and by another independent witness.

THIS forum was the perfect place to post it, or so I thought.

Personally I have no problem with this kind of ‘outing’ - But I’m guessing there’s some legal issue involved with a public site.

At least there was a fair amount of exposure before legalities came into play.

true… the news show people who have been convicted all the time. I suppose the site would need to be sure that he was convicted to make sure it isn’t a personal vendetta…

would it be appropriate for the response to be posted here, to save the gossiping?? if the guy has been convicted then it is a matter of public record and can be publicised with no come back. i regularly advertise cases of fraud that i have investigated within the nhs (where people have been found guilty either in court or at a disciplinary) to deter people from (hopefully) committing fraud themselves. if he has been found guilty there is no problem.

I don’t see what the problem is,as long as he was convicted in an adult court and not Youth court,its open for anyone to attend.There are issues with taking photos within the environs of the Court,but this picture is no different to the media pics/tv footage you see outside courts day in and day out.If it is was news worthy the media would have printed this with no comeback.Unless there is something else I’m missing what is the problem.I certainly hope his pic appears on our briefings at work,in fact I’ll ask for it to happen,make a change from the rubbish we normally get.
