laquer with matt paint?

Ill be painting some panels matt black. Should i be putting laquer on it as well?

I believe consensus is that if you don’t put something on to “seal” it, then it’ll chip or rub off on your legs (assuming its your side panels).

I actually don’t know where my dad gets it from, I think it’s actually normal lacquer with a flatting agent, ask at a professional auto paint shop and they may be able to knock something up into an aerosol.
