(coded cos I don’t know if you guys are cool with this side of filesharing)

tried the top link its now saying my apple mobile usb device is not working

ive tried all the tips on the apple website but still it cant find my ipod and ive got 3 of them to try

Do any other USB devices work ?
Might indicate whether it’s the PC or Ipod playing up.

well the camera and mass storage devices work in the usb but not the ipods

thus proving ipods suck

(yes I’m an apple hater)

Support and Downloads then download files. select your laptop, and then look for the chipset drivers.

Apparently there is another way, you open the hardware device manager, go to properties on the specific device and look at the details tab and device id, stick that in google and you might get the right drivers somewhere. Think you only need something like this: DEV_950&SUBSYS_32431028 from the id.

kev i tried that theres only updates for dvd and bios not chipset even when i tried intel it didnt come up with the right thing to update the chipset.

if it’s got the original driver for your chipset then try uninstalling the one you have then installing it from that afresh

uninstalled it then scaned for changes to hardware it then comes up with the same thing but where would i get the driver from in the first place

do what kev said but get the original driver I mean

they only have dvd and bios updates not chipset for that model

What is the exact model information? And part number from the bottom if there is one. PM me the details.

im at work fella will pm you later when im home. been told to go onto the backupmedia.toshiba.eu website and put the serial number in there to get some downloads
