I’m searching for a decent ladies summer pair of gloves.
Had a Frank Thomas pair that fitted like a glove (!) but were crap quality and the velcro came off. Now with a Racer that are ok, but again seem kinda dodgy, specially as the knuckle protectors only cover 3 fingers!
So limited for women’s sizes and designs. Anyone with any suggestions on brands or locations to pick some good quality ones up??
I find Richa a good brand for womens. My extra small summer gloves are a little loose on me but I just use an inner glove for them and they fit fine. They’ve warn really well and are very comfortable (unfortunately I don’t know their specific name apologies).
I used to have a pair of Alpinestars gloves that I got in a sale from ghostbikes.com, but they fell apart very quickly last year - came through on the fingertips. Currently have Buffalo summer gloves (xxs from J&S Accessories) which are very comfy for me, and even though the velcro has come away a little it’s probably because I’ve used them loads, and not because I’ve been hanging on the back in rubbish weather. I keep trying to find an identical pair (they’re green), but can’t.
If you have really tiny hands you could always try kids’ gloves.
I just use MX gloves (yes i know i shouldn’t use them) as they are not appropriate for the road but they are far more comfortable and i have better control over the clutch and front brake.
Summer sports gloves, I love my Dainese ones, they fit perfectly though were a little snug when I first got them but I’d say their perfect for me now. I got mine from p&h crawley.
If you go there though they don’t really stock many other brands :ermm:
I’ve got the Furygan AFS6. Best pair I ever owned. Proper protection, good leather and they look cool IMO. Size S fits me perfectly. Only place you can get these I believe is Gorgeous Bikes on Kings Road. I’m definitely getting the winter version with a longer cuff.
I’ve had a pair of the High Ends for over three years now and I love 'em, to the extent I wouldn’t buy any other brand.
I’ve tried various A’stars, Wiesers, Richas, Ixons, etc… and these (for me) give by far the best fit and feel. They’re a little bit sweaty in very hot weather (what gloves aren’t?), but otherwise they keep your hands pretty cool as they are well vented.
