KTM Super Duke

I’m back in the saddle! Pick up my new KTM Superduke this afternoon. Akra cans and 16t front sprocket go on at the 600 mile service… Man, I’m excited!!

Gis a go mister!

I would be too!!! Nothing like that V-Twin to get the heart rate pounding! Okay, I’m really envious. enjoy it and let us know what it is like. Seriously nice bike those Super Dukes, seriously nice!

Lucky Devil!!

…and I just bought it!!!

First impressions (from a 10 minute ride back to work)… They really do put high spec WP suspension on their bikes…(a giant supermoto with high and low speed adjustments on shock! sweet!!)

Second impression: Makes you want to stick your foot out on every corner!!!

Loads of pics til ya sick of it to follow!!!

We were just wondering on Wednesday what had happened to you, now we know, been busy sorting out a new steed. Sounds awesome, can’r wait to see some pictures. Stay safe, keep it rubber side down please.

Fantastic choice of bike everyone who has one raves about it, nice to hear you’re back on 2 wheels again, stay safe dude

Great to hear it Pete! Really glad you got the new bike so quickly! Very good news. I look forward to the obligatory pictures post and video-clip How are you fairing?

Heres the first couple of pics from my phone… will take loads more tomorrow…

This is what it’ll look like once the tail tidy is sorted… lovin it!

Jay: I’m feeling ok… still sore now and again but on the whole I’m feeling pretty good… about everything. The bike felt nice to ride and I wasn’t too worried about anything comin home on it. I got a gentle run in period and then the akra’s go on…

It’s no supermoto, and it doesn’t really fit in the speed triple / tuono / whatever the crap kwack without a fairing is called mould.

It’s kinda in a class of it’s own.

Good news is when the pipes are fitted and the mapping is changed you get the motor as those crazy austrians intended.

When we were in the Pyrenees last month, it was the bike everybody wanted to ride. (Especially on the tight mountain passes!)

Two of my mates are buying them now!

One of the things everyone raved about was the brakes. Brembo P4 calipers - say no more.

(If you intend to go to Cubana - you may need to fit the baffles in the Akros)

Well no, its not a supermoto, but thats the crowd its aimed at… I’ve had the Tuono for 15k and the two dont compare, so ya right… its not really in the naked category.

People are always stunned when you tell them theres a 1000cc v twin in it as it looks so small and feels so light.

I’ll post some more pics up soon as I’ve started the Pete School of *******isation! Lost all the plastic off the back, akra’s go on tomorrow with the remap and then carbon tank in the next couple of weeks.

Totally loving the bike…

Enjoy fella. It’s certainly the most compact 1000cc motor around.

Those pictures looked really good.

BTW - if you’re determined to lob cash at it, why not get the carbon wheels instead of the tank!

Because the tank has more usuable purpose than the wheels really. I’d love the wheels but really you gotta be one seriously good rider to benefit from carbon wheels where as I can benefit from a few extra litres as soon as its fitted

Tarting it up will be small cash (relative to KTM parts lol)… like seat cowl etc… I was going to fit the steering damper but havent got the total price yet as you need three bits… triple clamp, damper and fitting bracket!! feck

The bike looks great Floyd, congrats! Also, you have one sweet phone if those are taken with one, very crisp (colours are off through, but damn impressed otherwise). Also, pete, I don’t think we’ll see Floyd at Cubana any time soon, he lives on the IOM! Hehehe.

Look forward to seeing and hearing the mods, Floyd!

Nice one! I had a test ride on one a while ago and loved it - really flickable, plenty of grunt and the front brakes are amazing (I was pulling stoppies in no time!). What also appeals to me about it is the fact that although it ‘only’ does about 135mph, it feels like a lot more. Sometimes it’s scarey to consider what Mr. Magistrate would make of me being caught doing 160mph+ on my Gixxer…

It’ll definitely be a contender when I come to change my bike (in black though!).

Silver, they do over 150 mate!

Damper-wise, can you get the (can’t think of the name but they are gold coloured and sit on the yolk) ones yet? They are really good apparently.

X-Bikes are the main U.K. dealer I think.

I notice there’s a few places in this week’s MCN that are knocking them out for £7kish, that’s seriously tempting…

That’s a bloody good price.
