KTM 125 Road Bike - Learner Legal

Prototypes of the proposed learner legal road orientated 125 from KTM.

It will be superlight, well specced (WP Suss and Brembo brakes as standard), and probably a bit pricey.

It might end up being pricey, but that is one nice-looking bike. If I was 17, say, and looking for a cool 125, that’d be top of the list.

+1

Nothing like that about when i was 17:P

Looks lovely, but I think it’s going to be a difficult sell.

It’s bount to be expensive with all the trick bits, and who has that sort of money for a 125?

KTM are really struggling. 2010 prices for the LC8 engined bikes are bad, but you can see why when you look at what you get for your money. It sort of works in the market they’re targetting with their bigger bikes (although they struggle), but I can’t see it work in the 125 market.

IMHO they need a bike that does to them what the (old) Monster did for Ducati. Mass market “fairly affordable” bike that will keep them busy enough so they can afford to keep developing crazy bikes.

I want one just for the hell of it :stuck_out_tongue:

my god thats sexey!:stuck_out_tongue:
thats proberbly the best looking 125

I’m sure something really similar was announced aaaages ago? Definitely recognise the two colour wheel paintjob from a little KTM…

Quite possibly, I know it has been on the cards for a while.

pukka lil town bike…looks the biz that does!!

damn straight!

sooooo many of these will get nicked if they come out!lol

there was talk ages back of ktm making a bike that you could up-grade engine from 125-690cc because they would use the same frame:w00t: for a 125 i’d have this over them bikes:cool:

It ain’t just going to be the buying price. Can you imagine what the insurance companies are going to make of that?

Then there’s the service schedules/parts prices that come attached to every KTM. Reportedly you can run a Ducati Monster cheaper than the mid size KTM’s.

I have a feeling this is not pitched at the learner market in this country. Think their home ground/next door neighbours to the West.

also by the time the concept bikes meet eu standards they will probably not look as they do now.

This is the best looking 125 I have ever seen. Of course, by the time it’s actually made to fit regulation and be convenient, it wont look anything like this. Also, they will cut down on the sexy stuff for price most likely.

As we children of the glorious eighties like to say, lush.

Someone needs to make a 400 that looks like that top one. I’d be head of the queue.
