killspills rally

The killspills rally has just passed the building I work in.I can not believe the number of bike’s of all sizes make and models.I would hazzard a guess and say there was around 500to 600 bikes.Sorry no camera or phone with me to take some pic’s.Just looked up the route and they will be passing the building again so I will try and get some pic’s.

.

I Just got back. It was all quite eventful in the end. Thanks to an awkward bus driver who pulled out into the route people got quite split up and there were a few hairy moments as we all reverted to normal London riding as we battled through the traffic.

A pedestrian (looked like an older man) was lying in the road round one corner. People were already tending to him so I didn’t stop as I didn;t want to cause congestion. I heard a steward later saying he had just stepped out into the road. Let’s hope he is OK.

On the way back from the Ace I was following a Honda Blackbird down the Kilburn High Road and into Maida Vale. Suddenly a woman and a young girl dashed across the road. The Blackbird rider laid the bike down and just missed them, he was OK though. We can’t have been going very fast, I’d guess about 20 and the bike didn’s slide far, it did drop its oil out on the road though. The woman was very shaken up and just wanted to leave, though she did provide her name and address. The police turned up and took all the details, one of the cops had a CBR and said he saw us all heading off from the Ace. A traffic warden looked like he was going to give me a ticket at one point, but he saw the police and moved on.

the police told us killsspills marshalls there was 5250 is their figure they are going with but the unificial figure was probably about 7000 they said

sorry i couldnt make it…but i saw loads of you on the London Today news…made my day!!

it seems there was some coverage on one of the news bullitins and they are claiming between 5-6,000.

“flipping loads” is my best estimate.

I was indeed there, TQO
