Kawasaki ZX-7 750cc Ex British Superbike manufactured 1994 £2,200

For Sale - £2,200

One of two bikes raced by Neil Cray. Last known to be raced in 1999 BSB.

The engine was re-built by Chris Mayhew and is said to have a works crankshaft.

Recently tests showed 149.7 bhp at the back wheel on the dyno. Print out available.

This is a very fast and lightweight track bike. Many of its items are non-standard. It is not suitable to be adapted for road use. The mechanics who tested it said that we should advertise it as the fastest 750 in Kent. It handles magnificently at Brands Hatch.

Sets of dry and wet track tyres both used once only. New battery - total loss electronics.

We use a set of parallel steel rollers to start up this machine. One side goes under the van drive wheel and the rear wheel of the bike goes on the other. The rollers will be sold with the bike if required. Also the rear wheel stand.

This bike was bought between two of us last year. We do about four - six track days a year. We are in our 50’s and 60’s, both IAM members and, quite frankly, it has been great fun but it is beyond our capability. We have another ZXR-7 road bike that we use on the track and that is fast enough for us. We are selling this to get another road bike that we will adapt for use on the track and does not need the constant maintenance required by a pure bred race bike.

There is a box of spares with the bike including sprockets.

The bike is kept at West Kingsdown right next to the track at Brands Hatch and can be seen there.
