Anyone recommend where i can get some service parts for my Kawasaki GPZ, live over in West London so nowhere is too far really, and thought i would ask your lot where the best place is !!!
Japan -or is that too far?
(Sorry - coudn’t resist )
Do you think i could claim it on expenses from work
worth a try - could I come? (on your expenses)
now,now girls that sound naughty
Surely there must be some Kawasaki Dealers/Parts Shop ?
Anyone ???
What do you need as I had a GPZ around west london. Most bits like brake pads, tyres, battery and chains/sprockets can be bought from the Motorcycle Service Centre on Harrow Road.
There is an ex Kwak dealers in West Drayton/Yiewsley. Still does off road stuff, second hand bikes, spares and servicing etc.
Its located opposite the train station.
Dont use them they are next to useless!!!
Fortunately I havent had to use any one yet! Time allowing I do & will continue to keep most of my works close to home like my car servicing, only problem is lack of service stamps (But I dont give a monkeys as I have peace of mind knowing I did a proper job, I didnt buy the thing to worry about residual values over the service book stamps when its time to sell).
Most mechanical stuff (and DIY) is not rocket science but you have to have a mechanical aptitude and common sense IMO.
However if its related to the engine management systems, ECU etc. manufacturers dont want you having access to these (IMO), thats another matter unless you have access to special software and equipment electrics which is generally developed by enthusiasts to overcome the manufacturers restrictions after the tuners go to work and enter the market selling upgrades etc.
… sorry Im going off topic I
ll shut up now
What have they been up to then… or not as the case may be?
if not try using cradley heath … i use them for my zxr and they seem fine … and they have most parts in stock even the ones you doubt they will
daytona in ruislip are brill…
ive thopught about going up ther to see what they are like since colin collins has closed. they seem to be a good dealer.
Triskie,
You only needed to give AJ a bell, I could have told you where I get my Kwak service parts from - I use M&P and Busters - they do all the branded stuff like NGK, Castrol, K&N and its delivered to your door - Oil, filters, plugs etc.
Recently used Ebay for the dynojet kit on the CB500 and saved £45
And D’A at Hein Gerricke for things like Brake Lines, Pads, Discs amongst other stuff.
Have fun on yer new ride by the way.
J
Thanks J,
I am sure i will when its running and i am legal to ride it, thanks for the names already have most of the online guys listed in my favourites anyway oh the joys of the other half having 3 bikes, i just cant seem to find a Kawasaki Dealer out my way (and with you being over with the east side posse i didnt think worth bothering you mate)…i know where Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha are but not Kawasaki’s …
it could be that kawasaki r a bit more exclusive
I use CBS in Whitton, just outside of Twickenham. They’ve been spot on with me for the last couple of years when I’ve used them.
There number is 0208 8985492.
