Does anyone know the cheapest place to get a K&N air filter for a Bandit 600 ?
Cheapest I can see is about 37 quid - anyone got any nuggets of wisdom they wanna share ?

You’ll be lucky to find anyone giving a worthwhile discount.
There appears to be some sort of “franchise” arrangement that results in not shipping between countries. So, while they are a decent bit cheaper in the States, you can’t buy one from there and so on. Stockist discount is the best your likely to get.
I may well be wrong, but after a lot of trying, I gave up and paid near list price.

I second that… Or, just take your old one to a garage and ask them to give it a blow through with the air gun, re-oil it and Roberts your mother’s brother! Good as new!
Std Bandit filter is a paper element, oiling not a good thing !
As a performance mod, K&N filters are sh1te ! However, they do have the advantage of being cleanable & are therefore likely to save you money assuming you keep the bike for a while & TBH on a 600 bandit that’s gonna be more of an issue, so I’d say go with the ebay option, there’s usually a couple of used K&N ones for sale on there at any one time, if you want to save a a few more pennies.
BTW, the filter is the same on both the 600 1200 first gen bandits, just in case you see a cheap one for the 1200 !

But if you want Ive got a standard bandit 600 air filter which has only done 6000 miles. got another 6 init easy! its yours if you want it. 
BMC airfilter. Same thing, cheaper and better performance. I got a brand new one off eBay for my Hornet off for £20 + shipping.
I endorse what’s gone before.
K+N aint a performance mod. Just a decent, long life filter that is only worth buying if your a tight old git that keeps a bike till it falls apart or the breakers have run out of spares. For performance, there are better filters out there for (a bit) less.
Strangely, K+N seem to be a selling feature so you sort of get your money back.

I suppose if it’s gonna last for a few years, a few quid difference in cost isn’t goona work out that much in the long term…
