…that I hadn’t put myself forward for a slap with the newbie stick.
So, hello to all LB’ers. I’ve been reading stuff on LB for over a year, but as an SV650 owner (am on my second one), I’ve always put my drivel (e.g. ‘Help! Bike won’t start’, or ‘Help! Bike won’t stop’) on there.
I’d post a pic of my bike, but my home computer is away being repaired. Anyway, it’s a K4 SV650S, black, lower fairings, rear hugger, scratches, rust and lots of dirt.
I detest cleaning my bike, I’m mechanically inept (my motto - if hitting it with a hammer doesn’t fix it, then ask someone else to help), and have been known to travel by c*r.
Anyway, have a large glass of wine on me.
Jo
P.s My forum name has nothing to do with the fact that I own a shop. I’ve been known as shop_addict on a number of forums (fora?) for aaaaages, so named (unsurprisingly) because of my (now cured) addiction to gadget shopping.
I shouldn’t need to give you a loan of the P.A.N.T.S., you’ve got enough of the regular ones in that shop of yours. If I had an XXS helmet I’d lend you one though, just in case Da Artist catches up with you.
Hope they get the toe-rags, but in the meantime you can come to LB for several hundred shoulders to cry on and several hundred eyes to keep a lookout.
If ever a customer comes in who’s new to biking, I mention this site (and the ‘org’ if they ride an SV). I’ve referred so many now that i can’t remember who they all are. In fact the only one that I can remember referring is Lee (Hambley). Sorry Sherrie, can’t remember telling you about this site, but that may have been because we were rattling on so much!
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I don’t get time for many ride-outs or club meets, but if you see me popping into The Ace to drop off flyers, shout hello (I’m easy to spot as I tend to go on my way home, so I’m the woman wearing the GirlsBike2 top).
