I was at a friends and it started snowin hard, I left and tried to get up a real steep hill, I couldn’t do it, a car was sliding back to me, I had the front brake on and both feet down and was sliding back down the hill myself, 0 grip, my ringpiece suckering me to the seat waiting for it to slip from under me. I got some guy to get out a car and hold me upright whilst I put it into the kerb. It’s now abandoned halfway up a hill and the snow is still falling
Me and my buddies were going to try and wheel it back to his house, but we couldn’t even do that as we had no grip to stand up. What a nightmare.
Where are the bloomin’ gritters!!
At least you kept your bike up right , I just fell of my bike around half 4 going down a hill towards my house back wheel just went from me went flying on my right side , Lady behind me put her hazards on and helped and so did 2 guys in a van who got out and helped me push my bike back in the garage , annoying I was yards from my house but i’ve paid the price , the other night a pizza delivery guy on scooter fell down the hill in same position , luckily I got r&g mushrooms no damage done that it looks like apart from mushroom slightly bent saved me couple of hundred quids worth of damage:w00t:
I just had a scary drive home, its is awful here. Was just feeling sorry for all the bikers i saw trying to drag their bikes through it. Glad you’re ok
I’d love to see someone try and take it, 3 of us couldnt move it from where it was lol I going to hop on a bus later and go lock it up once the traffic madness is over.
And dan, sorry to hear about your drop, I dont envy even cagers caught out in this.
Awwww hun so sorry to hear, but at leas you are okay and you don’t have to worry someone will take it. I am snowed in at home too so phoned up a few cab firms to find out if i could get a cab to work tomorrow…well, no chance at the mo, they told me to call them a few hours later and find out :w00t:
sorry to hear it though. I’m usually the first to point at fair weather bikers but I think in these conditions, you’d be crazy to be out there on 2 wheels
Jackie left Westminster at 4, and we have just got her home. Her bike is abandoned in Wandsworth - let’s hope it is there in the morning!
It took me nearly two hours to get from New Malden to Wandsworth by car as the A3 wasn’t gritted and it was treacherous where it goies down to one lane at Tibbet’s Corner - it is amazing there were no crunches, but the tailback did reach the Raynes Park flyover! :crying:
