The cambell duck will be cooked on chrimbo eve for our special christmas eve dinner with friends:D Yummy he’s fattening up lovely;)
The little chick is a silky bantam and she was only ever got as company for duck…we’ll keep her as a friend for the next duck we get in the new year… and yes she can see just! 2 of my chickens stopped laying eggs couple of weeks ago so i slaughtered them and we all had chicken sarnies mmmmmm Don’t you just love keeping livestock:D
Well hardly livestock now is it?That chicken is almost as bad the the Long Island Maine Coon cat that my mum has. When frighten he is just a ball of fluff!

Aw Gawd girl !! i dont know HOW you do it…i couldnt sit and eat a chicken from my own livestock…( i know, thats the whole point of having them, and dont i eat chicken etc etc)…but i cant slaughter and cook one that ive seen running around 5 mins before!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t:Wasp, youve got some bottle…all that blood !!! :w00t: (bet it tastes better though eh?)…but no…mmm mmm, cant do it :sick:

I really admire you Wasp for keeping and slaughtering your own meat like this. I feel sorry for the duck (like the sentimental fool that I am) - but then I’m a hypocrite as all my meat comes in plastic packets and someone else does the killing for me.

Surely our sympathy should be for fluffy duck? He/she is going to be best mates with a series of other ducks who will mysteriously disappear . . . how many disappeared ducks will it take before fluffy duck realises that disappearance always coincides with that odd roasting smell . . ?
