A DR250… well ok as good as… cash has yet to change hands…
Any recommendation for kit to wear?? I’ve ridden it in my leathers before - riding was ok, but end up sweating like a fat lass kick starting it 
Full on off road kit mate if thats what you intend doing. Them nice offroad boots with the metal toe clips for a start. Full on body armour suit that is elbows, shoulders chest and back all rolled into one. A kidney belt protector. Buy yourself some knee/shin armour, these usually have velcro fasteners. Get yourself some off roading pants and an offroading shirt to go over the armour. Open faced lid with some goggles (Scott ones are good). Crosser gloves. Should just about surfice as far as kit goes.
For going green laning. Take a spare front innertube, it can be squeezed into the back as a makishift should it be required. Couple of tyre irons. Spare levers. First aid kit.
Never go out on your own, its dangerous and you can get stuck somewhere with no help for the foreseeable.

Think I’ll scour ebay see there are any bargains to be had… Will be using for a mixture of on/off road - certainly not planning on going on any lone trips… Might tap up RWR see if he can show me where to crash 
He can certainly show you the best places around your neighbourhood. I may well be joining in on his second bike 
Also a certain DRZ owning person of the penguin variety has some off road wheels for the DRZ apparently and wants to come out to play…
Should be picking it up tonight, might well ride it to Brands - state of the roads will be good practice I’m sure
Just bought myself an alpine stars bionic thingy… got some big silly boots and an mx lid, almost ready to rumble… or was that tumble
