Similar thing happened to me when I broke my neck, although the force seemingly wasn’t as much to separate the bones in my neck, just split them.

Was up walking just (although sort of had to re-learn to do it) after 10 days.

And I still ride the bike… madness apparently.

For some reason, that makes me feel a little funny… Lucky kid. Though why didn’t he have a proper neck-brace on whilst racing?!

The Hans device probably isn’t required in the lower levels of motorsport. Although would have saved all the problems the little tyke has gone through.
