Jerky anyone?

Well I had some Jerky from the states and loved it, ever since I been thinking that I fancied some but no idea where to get any in the UK.

I’ve found some sites but these days you never know what rubbish you get and what illnesses you can get from bad food:

http://www.wildwestjerky.co.uk/
http://www.myprotein.co.uk/mp-max/foods/beef-jerky-(50g)/
http://britishbeefjerky.co.uk/
http://www.scottishjerky.com/

Anyhow my question is if anyone know anything about these makers or if you know a place where to get some… any Supermarkets stock jerky in the UK??

Thanks for any info that would help settling my craving:)

Down Commercial Road near Whitechapel you can find shops selling biltong, the SA version of jerky. No idea what it’s like though. Very popular with ex-pat Sarf Africans, apparently.

Sainsbury’s do it! I think it’s about a £1or2, comes in traditinal or peppered, prefer the traditional myself, peppered a little to hot for me, you should find it in the same area as the crisps and nachos, fantastic with a beer or two.:stuck_out_tongue:

Damn right biltong is lekker, have tried jerky and it does not compare.

spose being a saffer I would say that :stuck_out_tongue:

cheers murf, will have to check it out:)

Yah bru!
