Jaffa Urgent your bike might have been spotted.

Hi mate contact me asap as a bloke on VD reckons he saw your bike.

Has anyone got jaffa’s phone number?

I’ve never even seen one of Jaffa’s bike’s in person, so there’s a good chance it is his! Bugger, hope something comes of this.

fingers crossed.

Is there a post on VD? if so m8, got a link?

Not far from shooters hill, so will keep an eye on this.

John

The bloke on VD posted the full details to me via PM so I assume he would rather keep it on the qt, but I have PM’d Jaffa and sent an E-mail to him as well. I really hope something might come of this. I didn’t think my post would come to anything, but the guy on VD followed a bloke riding an RX05 plated Husky 610 being ridden on the pavement on the A20 Sidcup by pass. The bloke followed the bike till he stopped to see where it went as he suspected it stolen. Lets all keep our fingers cross. And for feck sake Jaffa log on to get the details mate.

Well done Graz hope he gets the messages soon.

Nice one … hopefully, the thieving fvckers will get nailed!

Hi mate, in case you come on here first I have sent you another E-mail with my number on it. I’ve also asked the bloke on VD for his number so hopefully I might be able to get you some more details. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we might be able to get your motor back mate, heres hoping.
One word of advice though, if you know where that location is I’d get onto Plod ASAP first.

Jay, do you have any details of his registration on the site so we may be able to get hold of him? ie Home address etc?

No it should be ok, as Jaffa sent me an E-mail to say he got the details, but wanted to know a few things more, so I have sent him my number etc.

Sorry, I should have posted it here before! As soon as I saw this post I just clicked on one jaffa’s old posts and then clicked on his name jaffa , so you will have a bunch of option to choose from. One of them will be ‘send this memebr an email message’ .

Just place you message there and the LB’s system will send it on an email to the member. It’s as simple as that. Next time any of us need to contact each other, this is the way to go.

By the way, for the sake of our own privacy LB won’t disclose the member’s private email. He/she will get your message sent though.

Hope that it was usefull

any more news about his bike anyone?

I have sent him both my phone number and the bloke off of VD’s phone number vis E-mail. I haven’t heard anything back yet, but heres hoping.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for him

Hey fellas,

Well I informed the police on the information passed to me via Supermofo on Friday morning. They said they’d look into the situation and get back to me. Its Monday now and still no word, to be honest I don’t reckon they’ve done anything!! A few mates of mine wanted to go down to the site and see if we could recover it, but I decided against it. These days you don’t know what someone’s got weapon-wise and I’m not about to be shot or stabbed for the sake of a few grand. (the police are paid to do that any way). I’ve informed my insurance company and am now waiting for them to come back with a settlement figure.

Can I just say a big thank-you to all the lads & ladies on this site that have offered their support, especially Supermofo and the fella from the VD forum. It does make you realise that although the world seems full of ****s most of the time, there’s still a few good’uns left amongst us.

Stay safe…

Jaffa

good to read from you jaffa!, i wish you good luck!.

i agree too, it ain’t really worth it at all going over to sort recovering it yourselves. these days the criminal somehow becomes the victim!.

Hi Jaffa

This whole situation just boils my pish : ( the Police are a bunch of arse in my opinion, it seems to me that they are so under resourced and overworked/put to use on other things, that it seems that things like theft, RTA’s, street robbery are pretty much ignored nowadays. This government are a bunch of muthaphuckers as far as I’m concerned.

I know its doubtfull that much good will come of this but as I said I hope it doesn’t put you off biking or make you think that everyone is a ******.

As for mine and Robs help, no sweat mate, I’d do as much as I could for anyone in the same boat and thats whats makes these forums so worthwhile as it lets you see that there are people looking out for each other. If I ever do get to meet you I hope its over a coffee and your tard ; )

For everyone else, in the last week I think 5 motards went missing between Jaffa’s and Visordown, so keep your bikes as safe as poss.

I had a bad instance with the fuzz over a bike theft earlier this year. My beloved VFR400 was stolen in broad daylight from my back garden. 2 culprits apparently and they were spotted. I was even told by someone who was offered the bike 2 days later, they came straight round to my house and told me. I did what i was supposed to, I phoned the police, told them who had the bike and where it was. A week later I get a call to tell me that the bike has been recovered. You guessed it, not from the dudes back garden where it had been but smashed up in a field miles away. £230 to get back a smashed up wreck. Big thanks to the fuzz for being completely and utterly incompetent. I now wish I had dealt with the situation myself, I shall not be bothering the law in the future.

Anyway, enough of this rant. I hope that the bike is returned, hopefully still in one piece. If not, lets hope you get full payout from the insurers and get a replacement.

If the bike has been taken by the low life theiving pikey scum that reside in a hole next to Crittles Corner I strongly advise that you don’t go there… funilly enough the old bill are reluctant to go there too… Mate of mines car ended up in there years ago… but his family were very “persuasive” and it was returned. I wish you luck

It does seem to be the case that the police are not bothered. I’ve heard a few stories first hand where people have reported seeing stolen bikes and called the police and there just not interested.

The thing is that we work hard to be able to run bikes as our “pride and joys”, we become attached to them and depend on them. It’s sad that part of hard work were doing also goes towards paying for the police force that just doesn’t seem to give a sh!t about what happens to the things we work hard for, protect and love.

I don’t think they’ve called the guy that knocked me off my bike 2 months ago. But again, that’s not important to them, I’m only a biker, who had it coming.

There again, I might be talking out of my hole.

Rant over.
