Jade Goody dies

I’m with Andrei.

I couldnt agree more however as she is a “celebrity” and in the media spotlight she has raised massive awareness which has promted women to get their smear tests done on a regular basis. It has also caused concern over the age requirement of smear testing, which again could save more lives, so this cant be a bad thing can it…

no that’s a brilliant thing… but the sad part is that young women are needed to be told to check themselfs by the media and not by their parents, doctors, friends, other halfs…

We do get reminder letters etc but this is shown people how severe it can potentially be. You dont hear of Miss Joe Bloggs aged 23 dying of cervial cancer so Jade’s plights has not been all bad…

I had my first smear test aged around 20 & was one of the lucky ones! My 4 smear test’s showed severe changes & potential pre cancerous cells. I have been treated & now have to have mine tests done yearly as opposed to 3 yearly. I cannot understand how the Government, all for pinching a few pennies, can justify raising the age to 25. IF that had been the case with me who knows???!!! Girls now days are having sex & smoking much younger (some of the causes) so 25 is potentially too late to give treatment!

Also its not just women that suffer you guys need to check yourselfs for lumps & bumps too…any excuse to play with your balls :hehe:

Who is this b*tch and why should I care? What was she famous for? Did she create any notable works of art, music, literature, or do anything of value for society?

Since I don’t watch TV, I could give a toss about some fat white-trash slapper that was on some demented reality show. So I don’t really see what all the fuss is about.

Celebrities who are famous for basically nothing is half the problem with this society.

So why post that? Flame baiting.

Wow that was a mature response?! What she HAS done for society, regardless of who or what she was, is raise awareness that was lacking before! The fuss is the fact that, as she oh too well found out herself, woman DIE from this cancer! Not really necessary slagging her off now she’s dead is there…everyones entitled to their opinions but some are maybe needless.

+1Except when mine was removed, it was actually cancer.:w00t:Common sence doesn’t live amoung young women (all but for a few) and they need issues like this in the press to remind them what they need to do (as people around them are just no in the know). I remember having to talk to my younger sister the importance of getting it done, as she thought it wasn’t worthwhile. As for the annoyance for Jade Goody, she set out to make money for her kids, and she had done, well for her. My heart goes out to her children.

I could have said the same about you ‘Who is that b*stard and why should I care?’ when you were in your hour of need! But no I dug deep and gave you money I could barely afford along with many other LB members.

Good job some of us care eh?

Well Debz, I would see your point if she was a biker, but she wasn’t…

What’s the difference between my friend Nick dying of cancer 2 years ago, and this chick dying of cancer? My friend Nick didn’t get half the Independent website covering his great life and deeds (which probably amounted to more than this woman’s life and deeds.) She was on TV… is that an achievement these days?

But yeah, I’ll shut my mouth now before it gets me into any more trouble, mourn this woman if you must, but I just don’t get it.

And by the way, your help was definitely appreciated. If you are ever coming out this way consider yourself a guest here, I’ll give you a free tour of the local twisties and buy you a schnitzel (as I will to any other Londonbiker who comes past here, whether they chipped in to get me out of trouble or not).

Dei morti parla bene

RIP

seeing as you say you didnt watch tv or her how the fvck can you come out with a comment like that?

obviously you are a blinkered pr1ck

i didnt and i wont!

Okay guys lets keep this nice. I must admit I’m a bit disappointed by some of the comments being made on this topic - regardless of how she came across in life she’s dead now and leaves behind a family too.

It’s best to keep the more extreme opinions to yourselves rather than upsetting people who don’t agree with you.

Well said patrick:)

Some of us have grown up with cancer blighting our lives and constantly make others aware of tests and check ups and how important it is to comunicate with your doctor so if she’s put smear tests back at the forefront of peoples minds then she’s done what she set out to do and for that i applaud her, if she made some dosh along the way then good for her because at the end of the day most people would do the same.

R.I.P Jade.

totally agree m8 and i apologise for wot i said but not to whom i said it to.

Thing is i am born and bred bermondsey, daughter goes to the same school as Jade did too and i know a few people who knew her too so by tw@ts comments bit close to home.

i wouldnt say anything bad to any1 who died like that, if i didnt like em i would say nothing!

post/person reported.

Well I think it was her talent that she became famous for nothing and made loads of money…
