It is an XT thingie… and I love it . (though i am about to put a deposit on a KTM 950SM)
the benefit of a dyno set up is to achieve the best fuelling / without black spots in the acceleration curve, you get more hp’s out of your original setup and a crisp throttle, in he case of a single thumper which often suffer from poor bottom end you get a definite midrange boost and more importantly optimum fuel consumption. They make a dedicated custom map for your power commander which is best suited to your bike, cans etc…
Yep it was 14 of them that night at the Ace, with the exception of me as I couldn’t make it , but yeah the bike is popular enough, we had 16 of them on our last bank holiday ride on 29th Aug… here are some pics…
oh i understand now what you mean, well the bike had a problem of being a bit jumpy at low revs, not consistent and surging a bit, but now thanks to the correct fuelling and throttle action it all runs pukka.
Johnny there isn’t a lot of top end increase, the true noticable effect is in the bottom to midrange boost and the fact that as you well know the bike originally suffered from uneven low rev acceleration, now that is all a thing of the past, and you can rev it up smoothly thorughout the range, I think you should get ur xt done too Johnny since you have your power commander and the arrow cans. not sure if you did anything to your filter and airbox, mine is a new modified one which helps the bike breath a lot better.
