I’ve just taken the plunge and ordered a black SV650 K8 Sport from Premier Motorcycles in West Wickham. Erk!
I figure it’ll give me an even bigger incentive to pass my test on July 23rd… if (hopefully when) I do, I can pick it up three days later. :w00t:
Does anyone have an old, dark-coloured bike cover they’d be willing to part with for a bit of dosh? I’ve read that it’s better to use a slightly battered-up one over a brand new one to deter would-be tea-leaves. I don’t really fancy my bike getting nicked before I’ve had a chance to use it properly!
It was a tough decision - old CBR6, old Fazer or new SV. I thought I’d go new because I don’t know enough about bikes to trust a second-hand one yet - plus the running-in period will stop me getting too ripe with the throttle.
I don’t have a bike at the moment, so I s’pose I’ll be going on a lot of picnics!
I’m itching to get out on the road - hopefully I’ll have a good two or three months of commuting and rides out in nice weather before the rain starts again.
Well done, I got my SV650 Sport at the end of May…I love it, it’s a lot more fun than the Bandit I had before, and as I can’t afford to run a proper sports bike it’s the next best thing.
