ive had an apiffany!!!!!

ok last night i was finding it very hard to sleep…rolling around the bed trying to get comfortable…my mind was racing ten to the dozen…after about an hour and a half…i get kicked outta bed for keeping her awake…

so i mosey on down stairs…get a drink…(fruits of the forest:D) and sit in my famous ‘‘lads room’’.

while listening to the rain pitter patter against my window…i had an urge to open it up…and have a nosey at my bike…

i was stood there smoking a cigi…and my mind got to wondering…

what if…there was a service that,if you felt your bike was getting tampard with,or…you just felt uneasy one night…there was someone you

could call and…say…watch your bike…all night…from the time you went to bed…till you went to work…

with a full log of activities throughout the night…either being a paper document and/or video…

and just what if someone was going up to your bike…trying it…really trying to nick it…would’nt you love a picture of the scum before they were approached?

i would…its just an idea that i had…but i think it would be a great venture…?

i think i would call it ‘BIKESAFE’’ and maybee do another service with patrols every half an hour to ppls homes…

yes i know this is security…but it would be like a gaurdian angel looking after ppls bikes…and it would be…just for bikes…

tell me what you think?

smiled:).

I do that myself. I have all the security I need, a mad cat, lots of badgers and an old fox. However, nothing beats a paintball gun ramped to 450fps with frozen paintballs coated in graphite powder… Laser sights and lots of bruises for the scrotes.

After every ephinany remember to wash the keyboard mate

Interesting idea, but would probably have to be constant, if it was only a patrol, they would wait until the patrol had come, and then get the bike. Might be better if the patrol had links to a text-based alarm system on the group of bikes and was able to make a speedy chase… A bit like a more mobile tracker…

So system setups and staffing/running costs about £100,000 a year (2 big blokes/ladies, van, insurance, mobile phones), if you get 100 subscribers in an area then it is £1000 per year each, possibly affordable. have to work out the number of people interested and the possible cover area.

Although not sure what the police would think to that service though…

i really dont think it would be a problem with the police ian…i think it would be benificial to them tbh…and as for patrols…there could be static bikesafe emplyees and one or two patrols…just circulating the areas…just to ensure the

static guys are ok…and mybee give chase if a number plate is needed for any evidence of tampering…;).

and as to add to the mobile tracking…one could mabee set somthing up so that tracker themselves fit units to the bikes that patrol?..and

to the static units too?

/MMMmmmm…one ponders

smiled:).

while i was laying there on the floor close to death…i had something of an apithany…im not gonna kill ya…

hahaha might boosh quote…

smiled…wtf you on man!?:w00t: you having a para bout?

my bike is chained covered and alarmed. right outside my door, if ANYONE tries to take it… the dog will be let out first! followed by me and my brother…dont get me wrong it could go without me knowing but its unlikely they would have to make some noise…

then again thats partly why i have an SV and not a sportsbike…

I don`t worry about that as nobody would want to nick my bike.

silly idea then?

smiled:).

lol@ john

not silly mate, just bit long winded, if they want it they will get it…unless you have two G.Sheperds chained to teh bike…in a garage…with 100db alarms on it.

there are ways round most things, thieves are clever dude;)

Don’t know what your on about Rats…that day we collected your scoot…we near enough kicked the bl**dy door down trying to wake you!!:stuck_out_tongue:

cctv

il be 1 of your patrols  and surely all you’d need is some kind of stationary monitor linked to said txt device…if the bike moves you get an alert through saying which bike its is and race there prepared for a little ‘self defence/physical intervention’ while performing a citizens arrest and calling police  this will lead to, safe bike, happy owner, police getting thief, thief getting a legal ass whooping, job satisfaction for me :D…i really don’t see a down side in this scheme

Wouldn’t be cost effective would it?
