Although the sale was agreed and payment made while I was in Korea in mid-November, I picked up the new bike yesterday!
It’s got the a few scratches and marks here and there, as you’d expect from a bike that has done 7 meetings. Good news is it was at the sharp end in those meetings.
Motor is stock (which is good!), I won’t bore you with the full spec but a few details.
One off DEP zorst system. Nissan 4-pot caliper. AP master cylinder. Carbon bash plate made by a F1 supplier.
Also supplied, spare plastics, air filters, oil filters, spare clutch, 2 sets of part worn slicks.
I’m looking forward to getting out on a practice track before the season starts!
Pete, it’s lovely! Looks sharp, as you say, all the best for next season! So how about some spares in the finest oil you can get, and some spare pistons/barrels? What’s the track record on these going pop? Man, I’ve love to have a ride
Funny you should say that Jay, I’ve just purchased a 25L drum of fully synth!
I’ll be changing engine and gearbox oil after every meeting.
I know several people who swear by the CRF, the reason why I wanted a non-tuned one was that in std form the motor is fairly tough, (For a single!). In the second half of the season it may get new inlet valves and a piston - I’ll be taking advice from friends who have run them in seasons past!
Very Nice… Ive always wanted a Road legal CRF motard with black excels. Fave bike. Love that one you have, the bloke who had that before is on another forum i use, sambo i think?
Cezar, it’s a Supermoto, so not strictly off-road, well, only half the time for some supermoto races, though many are tarmac-only, i.e. the KTM 660 Cup is tarmac only.
