Well isn’t it a small world??? Especially for bikers. You’ll find one or two everywhere.
I found one today that we all feel as if we know already. She parked alongside me today outside work and we got chatting, as you do, about bikes etc and she said she has quite a long journey into town every day from around Gatwick. I asked her if she’d ever heard of London Bikers.com and as she doesn’t live in London I wouldn’t expect her to have any interest with them and guess what she said? She told me that her husband posted an email the other day about when she got a puncture in London and nobody stopped to help. She said it caused quite an argument on the site that they didn’t mean to happen, and she wasn’t sure they’d like to get to know any of us or carry on posting after that. They didn’t like the sound of us. You can imagine my amazement at bumping into the same lady we’d all been talking about outside where I work and even more when she said she works in the Royal Ballet School affilliated to the Royal Opera House where I work!!!
Anyway I assured her that we, LBrs are really a very nice bunch of people and that it was only a discussion, not an argument that they spurred and we would all welcome their input on any subject as we do with every member.
So I’d like to welcom Liz and her other half on behalf of LBs to the club and hope we hear from them again. Waddya say folks?
Sunny
LIZ… I’m the one with the yellow and black R6, used to work at stage door
Am I being blonde here? Sunny tells us she’s met someone called Liz who said she wouldn’t come on the site, then everyone says welcome to Liz, when Liz hasn’t even posted, and hasn’t even signed up!
If you do sign up, Liz (if you’re reading this) then you’ll be very welcome. Seeing as she hasn’t yet signed up, aren’t you lot all being a bit previous?
Nah, we’ve all just got back from our AA meeting, thats all! (Hello Liz!! )
She doesn’t need to feel that way about posting on here though. The site would be borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring as hell if everyone agreed with everyone about what everyone posted up now, wouldn’t it??
It ya do join Liz, dont forget to carry on the LB tradition of posting up a topless pic of yerself…
It’s all too easy to take things in the wrong context to which it was posted in on the internet. Most of the time it is human nature to assume that it was intended in the worst context however alot of the time it really isnt. Completely diffierent to talking to someone in real life as you have a tone to the voice or hand signals etc…perhaps a punch in the face aswell. LOL
