I really don’t understand how a 15 year old bike with a ‘daytime mot’, 1K miles on the clock with no speedo or ignition barrel and a ton of mods is worth £4K… Don’t get me wrong, the seller may have done all the right things and it may have all the right bling on it, but boy it’s an expensive toy.
Set up my searches on autotrader and ebay… always the first step. Further steps will not be detailed…

How about one step at a time…? Just go for a test ride on any bike you can. Just to see if you like the feel of it? Girlfriend is another thing. I’m lucky that my girlfriend does go on the back but I was married for 25 years when my wife wasn’t interested. Mostly I’d go for a ride early Saturday mornings before everyone woke up and some summer evenings when they were all watching the telly.
