Called up my insurers adrianflux they said because ive resprayed my bike its a mod and they will only replace as standard so say i have an off will they replace the parts to silver? As that is the standard colour even though on the log book it says red.

Can i say the red is standard plastics and save on the 100 more they are charging for a modification?

If you specifically pay extra you will be covered for declared mods, but not all insurers will do it, and it can be expensive.
