to wish that my work colleagues would all spontaneously combust
I’m not what you would call a girlie girl i.e. couldn’t give a rats are about how the “Activia yoghurt really has made me feel so much better” (bll*cks) or that “M&S tights maybe more expensive than Boots own but they really do last and feel so much nicer, the seam is softer around the toes than the Boots ones”…arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I DONT CAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
WHY OH WHY do I have to listen to this drivel day in day out, its driving me mentalllllllllllllllllllllllll!
Anyone else suffering? Any suggestions on how I can make them all disappear :w00t:
yeah buy a pair of big earphones, does the trick when you need some peace and quiet
if you are feeling flash/rich then many swear by those sound isolating ones, just plug 'em in and even without music is puts the drone into the background where it should to be
i not only work with a bunch of tossers, but theyre all married with kids, im 26 and the next person in age from me is about 35, they dont like my sense of humour, and generally i try to sit here with ear phones on and not crack any jokes, or talk about the weekend, or anything…
my boss does no work, and prob gets paid double what i do, and is one of those people that everytime he opens his mouth you want to ring his bloody neck.lol
Where I work, we sit 2 to an office. I think the open area may be different, but I guess I’m quite lucky with my roomate. I do use headphones quite a lot, but that’s just because I find that music helps me concentrate - I don’t use them to drown out any noise. They kinda handy for sending out a “please don’g bug me, I’m busy” message tho - might be worth a go
that sounds sh*te  get out of there! :w00t:
i have a strange scenario here, the work bores me but have been in the same team for nearly seven years and get on great with everyone…hard to leave but should :ermm:
its not they don’t like the jokes steve, they just cannot understand a word that leaves your mouth… saying that even I had trouble in KFC that time it did not help that you had a mouthful of chicken either.
I also got a verbal warning for revving my bike engine outside, because it scared the associate. I wasnt revving it deliberatly, i was actually doing a slow u turn, and keeping the revs up so it didnt stall on me!!
wana look for something else, but to be honest im so demoralised by working here i cant get my ass in gear to sort out my portfolio and cv!
prob ive got is, i dont have much site experience, as everything ive been working on has been in Dubai, Ive got 4 yrs post grad experience, very little on site, which makes finding something else tricky!
Im a commercial Interior designer, i updated my cv just a few months ago, but its more the prob i have
A: explaining why i have little site experience, and
B: explaining why i was in this job, moved to Northern Ireland for 4mths, then came back again to the same job…
without looking like i cant stay in a job 5 mins without being unsettled.
