just a quick couple of questions, wanted a few peoples opinions as none of my mates are motorcyclists. im currently riding a ybr custom 125 (first bike) and im planning on keeping it for another year or so. i maily use it for the 20 minute commute to work, occasional trips to see my folks, and friends in southend, about an hours ride. anyhow i digress, i was basically considering, as ill have this bike for a while yet, wether itd be worth getting a paint job done, maybe change a few bits, mirrors and such, just so i can have a bike that looks how i want it to. i wont be upgrading for a while yet, as cost of das and a new bike, is superceded by a wedding and new home in 2013! so basically i can spare a decent few hundred notes on making it prettier, any suggestions/recommendations or tips would be very welcome. also if the painting does go ahead, can anyone recommend a shop nearby? im in the stansted area. thanks guys!!
Save the cash for a bigger bike
You won’t make your money back unless the bike was in such a state that it needed the paint job. Even then, you might not recoup it.
Never heard of anyone customising a 125, apart from the Blackheath 125 crew :w00t:
Save you’re hard earned
I can see the dilemma. Get new mates.
Personally I’d save the money for running repairs for the 125 and any leftovers go towards your DAS/next bike
Do whatever you want. I’d save the cash though. The performance gains will be very small. Plus a year really isn’t very long.
Oh dear, a little Honda morphing into a Post Office Bantem …
Aspiring to look like this
That’s a keeper Ross
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and opinions. Eddie wins however, new mates it is! who wants to be my friend haha! maybe just some new luggage for now then, and some Kevlar jeans/ leather jeans for the summer months
Eezie that was suposed to be! darned autocorrect thingy
