Is it me, or when the sun shines

I’ve noticed over the last week or so that I’m about to make a move on a car, bus, whatever, do a shoulder check and there’s a suit on a scoot, stuffing it up the inside.

Today, when it’s a bit cold and overcast, no problems.

Are they like lizards - does the sun animate them?

suit on scooters just annoy me! they are one of the reasons I started cycling to work, I had more near misses with knobs on scooters than cars, buses, taxes and vans combined!

When the sun shines I see a lot more knobs on all sorts, two, three, four or fourteen wheels it makes no difference. It will get worse when everyone is rushing home for the football.

Not sure about scooters but when the sun is out, girls like to show off their wabs, makes going to work so much more fun…

I’m on constant “Babylon watch” at the mo…

A lot of scooter riders have f*ck all etiquette - I hate the way they hover around the blindspot and just barrel through regardless.

LMAO at “Babylon watch” haven’t heard that in a long time … well confusing when some of my mates call the cops Babylon.

Yes, defo like lizards. I had to ride into Waterloo today and there were loads of them, far more than usual.

Ive had one good experience with a couple of scooter boys, had a giggle with a couple just play racing type thing. The rest seem to want my blood. Little shits are mental and have less than no fear. Nutters

What’s even worse than if the suns out is when it goes behind a cloud…then all hell breaks loose…and if there’s a full moon well…

I find the standard or scooter riders stays quite consistent throughout the year (some shockingly bad, some average, some good)
600cc sports bike riders on the other hands, turns out the sun seems to bring out all the knobs who suddenly think they’re Rossi on a Sunday afternoon and insist in cutting up anybody they think is on a slower bike.

Remember though, that just because someone seizes more opportunities, has more daring and a more maneuverable bike/ ride PTW, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are an idiot

Respect!

Innit blud!

oh my days!!

I actually agree with you Garret

its too easy to be thought of as a ass on a scooter when in town…i can fit through gaps some bikers can’t and yes they do seem to get the hump wiv me…but its just tough:D get a scooter for town and get were your going quicker;)

It’s my experience more often then not, unfortunately, that a lot of scooters (not all) will push past thinking they can squeeze through where I can’t and then stop. Even when there’s plenty of room (well, enough for me to get through if the scoot weren’t in the way).

I also find quite a lot of the time that lots of scooters have no confidence in filtering through traffic, again holding me up where there is enough room to safely make progress. It’s most unfortunate that, in my experience, scooter riders have very little consideration for other riders. Whereas, in my experience, those on PTWs not of the scooter variety will usually consider those moving through the traffic quicker than they are and allow them through…

(opinion voiced - moves slowly back into the shadows to continue lurking…)

I think the problem really is weather-related: when the sun shines the Fair Weather Riders come out all fired-up, with no bloody memory of what they did to survive the couple of weeks they rode last year. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ban 'em, I say. Only people who use their scooters, er, sorry bikes, all year round should be allowed on the roads at all.

As for the twat coming off the Redbridge Roundabout on your BMW GS this morning - just cos my scoot beat you off the line, there was no need to come weaving round all agressive-like in order to get back past. But I did laugh when you tried to overtake the HGV on the inside just as he was pulling over to the left-hand lane. I had already spotted his indicator and simply passed on the right as he moved across. Still, you got to overtake me a second time, didn’t you? Bet that felt nice.

I always move out the way for bikers and let them past but 9 times outta 10 they get stuck…thats when i find an alternative way round the traffic and end up back in front of said bikers:D
