Intercom advice: Scala vs Sena

Ello all.

So I was just about to buy the Scala G9X powerset for me and my girlfriend when at the 11th hour I discovered The Sena range of intercoms (!)

Of course this has thrown my world into disarray.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either or both brands? I’m aware that Sena are about to release the 20S which looks like the feature for feature competitor to the G9X. I hear the Sena 20S will connect with any brand of intercom.

I’m mainly concerned with the clarity of the calls and the usefulness of voice recognition at 100mph (theoretical speed of course). Also if anyone has an opinion on whether the Sena jog wheel is better or worse than the Scala buttons.

I’m using my phone for GPS, calls and music and I like the idea of using my own in ears rather than the speakers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Can’t comment on them ones but I wouldn’t want to listen to music with the Scala speakers I’ve got. It’s fine for gps and phone calls even with earplugs in.

if you like music use in-earphones or get moulded in-ears for better quality.

Cheers mate.

I’ve got molded IEM’s (perks of being a musician) so I’d much rather use them.

Fully agree with everything he said
