I was given a ticket on Saturday for my numberplate whilst being lead astray by Blade in Southend

I think they’ve got the name of the street wrong, they have it down as ‘The Esplanade’ but I can’t find a road of that name. There is a Chalkwell Esplenade, a Western Esplenade, an Eastern Esplenade and a Thorpe Esplenade but no The Esplenade that I can see. Idf that is the case, can I contest the ticket?
Sorry mate…but no…it is known as southend esplanade…just another word for “beside the seaside, beside the sea”…they always put that down…soz…good job u didnt come Dick Turpin with us tonight then…same ol bill out in force AGAIN !!! Plus they had some on bikes too…saw one pull over a guy on a duke, and then the cops in the car pulled over a car that was getting a MOT on the spot…and then down by the roundabout, another one was waiting for all the bikers that turn there to go back down to the Turpin…same ol same bluddy ol…they ruin every meet we have…they know the nights we go there and they turn up in bluddy droves !!!..
but surely it has to be listed as the name on a map. Can you check which Esplenade it was we were stopped on for me Blade?

All i know is that its known as Southend Esplanade? They know where it is when u pay the fine? I just paid mine few yrs back and it went through ok

i really dont think u are gonna get away with it cos remember when u were showing one of em your other plate? the other one was on his radio, not sure but i assumed he was putting our/your number plate for checking?..(i dont know but i saw him talking into his radio?) and the southend espanade they put down is well known…i know its not in the map but its the right place? (sorry not helpful i know)…so i think if u contested it, they would just say you were on the seafront at southend known as the esplanade…and you wont win? But, yeh you could go ahead of course…(will give u time to get the money together at least !! ha ha…(sorry …ducks out the way) 
Blade, a new place for bikes on a tuesday seems to be basildon festival leisure, I was at the gym there last night and plenty of bikes hooning around.
Basically the Esplanade is split into Eastern and Western, but together they make ‘The Esplanade’. Is your ticket just for money or for points too? If it’s just money I wouldn’t bother contesting as you may end up with points.
the ticket is just a fine - I was hoping to get out of it on a technicality, as technically, the ticket is wrong. There is no such road as The Esplenade, can;t assume local knowledge in a court of law, can you

And in all honesty you’re right - my crime, I will pay I just got all excited when I saw he hadn’t written the road name wrong.
Before you do, I would explore all avenues first though.
