well im looking at maybe chopping the fazer in for a ninja 636 or cbr. It seems plenty of peeps have the zx and they seem very popular, now im getting a bit faster id like something that corners and handles a bit better than me fz6. ive seen nice ones around too, going for some testrides this weekend!!

If you’ve got money to spend do some training.
A day or two with CSS or similar and all of a sudden your Fazer will seem to handle a lot better.
Get your Fazer on track. You’ll pass R1s, Blades, GSXRs and big Kwaks that are all being ridden badly. I found it a big confidence booster, if they pass you it’s the bike, mine makes about 80hp so no wonder something lighter with twice horses goes past. If you pass them you’re a God.

I would always suggest a CBR as they are such easy sportsbikes to ride but after seeing the Triumph 675 last night… I don’t know!

Save your money stick with the Fazer… mucho better round town etc and on bumpy B roads etc. Whatever you get unless your rossi or someone there’s pretty much always far more ability in the bike than the rider.
As suggested above, maybe if you have money to burn, spend it on something like California Superbike school.

return your bike to standard and flog the bits on fleabay (unless you’ve got someone who’ll give you fair val for them)

, thats why im looking at something older 2000-2003. I know i cant keep both and i like the fazer but ive started thinking about a sportsbike as a change. Atleast i can see a few and ride a few first.
You are going to loose money by chopping in the Fazer so soon after buying it, plus all the extras you’ve put on it. I’d say keep the Fazer but at the end of the day it is a personal thing and it does seem the majority of people round here are into the sports bike thing. Difficult not to feel a bit of envy.
BTW if you can afford it go for something like an 04 R6. You know Yamaha makes sense.
+1 04 or 05 R6 bikes can be had for pretty cheap…The 05 was the last and best version of the bike for the road.
