I'm riding to Cornwall

tomorrow. In thunderstorms apparently.

If I die who wants my Collection of Broadway musicals DVDs?

Good luck with the ride mate, hope the forecast is wrong for you. Done that myslef, and its not fun.

THe weather forecast has been wrong for weeks now. So it’ll be right tomorrow.

I rode to Cornwall last Friday in Thunder… whats going on with the weather at the mo!!!

Are you gonna ride Portlock??? Cause that was just a little bit fun…woo hoo!!

Erm, maybe (what is it?)

Doing Liskeard, Common Moor, St Lukes, Bolventor, and Kingsbridge in Devon. Back Saturday afternoon.

Am going to leeds on saturday and donington on sunday mate. Changed my rear tyre especially for the expectant bad weather.

My rear is already shiny and new, only got 700 miles on.

If it all goes wrong, can I have your home?

Mine shall received a good scrubbin … on the road to leeds

I’d need references.

The A39… Dunstersteep & Portlock Hill… hairpin twisties on a 20% gradient. Even a most novice of riders could get their knee down on this really steep up-hill right hander. A left hairpin leading to a steeeeep right then another left hairpin…

I’ll get the actual route for you

Thanks.

be safe fella

I think I’m going to get very wet.

Not if you wear the right gear. I shall also wish you luck on the journey. If its precipitating badly, I suggest you take the more direct route as opposed to the scenic one.

Ride safe…

It is the A39 Porlock Hill, the first is really steep with the left hand hairpin and then you go up over the top with nice sea views down into the bay before the road then drops down Contisbury Hill ending in Lynmouth. Then there are the next set of hills with a low stone wall as you go round the cliff face, this is still A39 at Watersmeet Road out of Lynmouth which then became Shambles Way and then West Lynn Road, Dean Steep and levels off at Wilders Top before the cross roads at Blackmore Gate

We also did a brilliant wiggling road that went to Minehead… twisty heaven!!!

Fantastic roads…we were down that way twice last year…

It was lovely arsing around in Devon between the A38 and Kingsbridge, but the following day was a complete deluge, even the Frank Thomas Aquasprints failed me.
