A lot of people think that putting in contact lenses involves touching your own eyeball - it doesn’t. There’s a nice soft wet contact lens between your finger and your eye. I can put contacts in all day long but there’s no way I could touch my bare eye with my finger
As long as you wash your hands you’ll be fine

I can do contact lenses and my eye. it’s not that bad
When I was a zombie a few years back I held my fingers in my eyes for the shots. Doesn’t bother me at all.

Touching my eyeball doesn’t bother me - as I have discovered when drunkenly trying to remove contact lenses that I wasn’t wearing.
I know a guy who virtually faints if he sees someone putting in or taking out their contact lenses - he was an army medic in Afghanistan!
