Well I took the end of last week to get the house done, managed to get the bathroom painted, eldest daughters room done (so she is well happy) managed to strip and hang lining paper in our bedroom only to find the ceiling nearly collapsing!!
Went to have a shower last night (for the 1st time at this house) and guess what hot bl00dy water is not working!!!
Damn this house!!
Also does any one have a spare roll of woodchip wallpaper they don’t need I only need 1 roll.
Spent 5 years doing this place up with a whole host of catastrophes.
You have my sympathy fellah.
I spent the first year removing 5 to 6 layers of wallpaper, most of which was varying qualities of woodchip. Unfortunately the plaster came off with the wallpaper across pretty much the entire house. Aaaaaaagh!

Such is the joy of refurbishing mid terrace Victorian era homes… Mine is a pain in that I take the wall paper off for the crumbling lime plaster to follow shortly there after. ended up painting the wallpaper to get a decent look for now. Have stripped and papered 3 rooms so far though and they do look sooo much better. Also just finished the loo and bathroom (it was a 1970’s pink suite - argghhhh my eyes). It does get better though, only hassle is you finish one area to realise the rest looks crap and needs a full overhaul…
No water coming out the hot water tap or water coming out but its cold?
I had the same problem and it turned out to be an air lock!
