If this really works there would be no need to wash our bikes ever again

Wow can you imagine how awesome biking clothing will be???

When will we see it on visors?

I’ve yet to find a rain repellant that actually works!

Just went onto the company’s site and it seems like we can buy it as it seems to be a liquid that is applied to the outside of things… I didn’t check to see how it is applied though, if there is some process…

Good point - when will we see it on visors?

Pilkingtons have been using a similar coating on a self cleaning glass for years

id go down to home base and cover every single paint brush with it hehehe

I can think of plenty of applications for that but I wouldn’t put it on clothing as it would probably stop it breathing, which wouldn’t be good!

It would also be interesting to know the max temperature resistance and how resilient the coating is to see if it would last on items that are in use every day.

Oh, and it doesn’t look like it would work well on visors as it turned the guys work boots white.

Just emailed them to see if there will be a UK distributor, hopefully it wont affect the plastic fairings!

Shhh rusty, we could be the first distributor, take it to Dragons’ Den and make millions!!!

Looking here it seems it might not work so well on plastic substrates - it contains xylene and other solvents that will give plastics a tough time.

It also seems to rub off

:crying:

Wonder if i could use between my butt crack, would save money on bog roll and time

can i put it on the dog?

Yes your more than welcome to help me

No dice,

I did that the last time this post went up… they kindly pointed me to the sign on the website that says “Global Distributor” plus, it does FACK farings and other plastics… so get some but be careful where you put… butt cracks weren’t mentioned in the brochure though so fill your boots… or your keks… boots too… might stop the cheese clinging to the socks…

MY dog

silveR6 if you change your mind let me know, you can be my cheek spreader or brush dabber

If it would work on metal without corroding it, I can see great potential to cover my KTM in it for when we go offroading…

Of course Mad Dog would have to test it first on his cheeks… :stuck_out_tongue:

Unforunately the temp range is only up to 300 deg f so it wouldn’t be suitable for engine parts. body work though may be a different matter, so long as you can put up with that white hazy look.

I’d stick to giving your bike a thorough coating of ACF 50 if i were you.

For the past three months it’s had a thorough coating on mud… I didn’t wash it straight after and then various things happened meaning it has had this brown coating…

I dread to think what will happen when I get back to it and try and start it up :ermm:
