The Unites States has this power - but NEVER puts any serious pressure on Israel to pull it’s settlements out of the west bank - and refuses to agree to a U.N. ceasfire while the Israelis are murdering HUNDREDS of civilians - only this morning news is emerging that israeli troops herded a hundred palestinians into a building which was then shelled 24 hours later - I seem to recall that Nazi troops on the Eastern front in WWII herded Russian peasants into churches which were then bombed/set alight.

Most of the surrounding Arab states have crap human rights records are undemocratic and are responsible for various domestic and wartime human rights abuses and should recieve maximum criticism from anyone who cares about this stuff - but this is widely accepted as fact and not considered an issue - my point is - why is Israel - which was built on and continues to practice ethnic cleansing, treated with kid gloves and treated like a normal decent state - when it manifestly is not - it is a destructive settler state on a par with apartheid south africa - with whom it co-operated on military r&d projects.
But I think that is slowly changing…I hope they will be held to book for war crimes this time, I hope like the UK and the US war crimes will not be accepted and will be punished but this is not a slight on Israel it is a clear failure on the part of the group of 7 or 8 leading nations and the UN.
Not totally convinced they have carried out ethnic cleansing as was tried say in Rwanda and the Balkans etc…we didnt do anything about Rwanda, but we did in the Balkans after it was too late…how many wars do we have to be part of to stop the violence, the hatred and the conflict…not easy is it…

Israel are a law unto themselves and they use the holocaust as their excuse…its a pretty strong excuse. There are still people out there wanting to wipe them out…that is the root of a lot of the problem but not all of it…as i have said we have to try and forget the past and look to the future…
We have seen some change in Israel, but the only change in hamas is to take up arms and bomb Israel…now it looks like hezbollah are having a go too, now that they think israel is busy on the west bank…that is really naughty…Israel is under attack and whilst this goes on it will fight back with as much force as it can…and to be honest the west cant allow this to carry on…but how do we stop it…do you have any real suggestions or just criticism.
I have loads of ideas but have no idea what will work…
That Article was a made up and fake. the poster on the forums was a undercover journalist making those remarks and then publishing an article about it… and i can prove that too.

I did not take offence by the way…if you have passion about a topic lets see it, i love a good debate especially on difficult topics…and I admire people with beliefs…but dont get me wrong I am arguing the topic not the person and i will always put the harder side to all arguments, they are mostly not my beliefs just points for discusssion…ie I like a good argument, i used to be in a debating society…
crikey that is bloody scary, reporters drumming up hatred, but i would not put it past some of them, I have met and talked to a few and some that i have met I would not want anywhere near me…and would never want them as enemies, they can be evil personified…(joking… partly) and the power they have in their hands is disgraceful…
