It’s a Japanese/American thing …

Pre 1970’s virtually all motorcycles had right foot gear changers. Left foot gear changers gained in popularity with the introduction of the light weight 100mph learner legal two stroke twins and the multi-cylinder super bikes of the day from Japan, assisted by a change in American Law that all new motorcycles sold in the USA had to have left foot changers.

Yeah but it you look closer at the lever you can clearly see it’s a break lever…

if you look even closer you can clearly see that the nun doesnt flip the bike in reality! :stuck_out_tongue:
