"It seemed right to let you know that Ian had a stroke in the early hours of Saturday morning, 28 February. For once I am truly thankful for my insomnia as he was rushed to hospital, where he is expected to remain for at least 2 weeks, almost immediately.
Fortunately the damage doesn’t seem to be too great with mainly his short term memory and speech centre being affected although he is, of course, still pretty poorly. I am awaiting tests results and decisions from the doctors. I will pop back to advise you of his long term prognosis once I know what it is myself."
I am sure you will join me in wishing both Ian and Sue all the best in this very difficult time, and that he makes a speedy recovery.
