Like actually looked at it. It was fucking depressing.
I feel you. Although I don’t need to think about it for almost a year now…
:w00t:! Mine is also due, but I’m an old fecker now, it’s not as harsh!
£920 for TPFT on a 125. FUCKING LIBERTY!
R1 @ £325 with carol nash, ebike wanted £1200 & others similar… There seems to be one advantage of hitting 40!
My boy on a 125 only £625 in his postcode, £1200 in my w3 postcode! On his current 50 £325 via ebike
Mine is due in the next couple of weeks, put the details into comparethemarket and got just 2 quotes :w00t:
£660 & £9990.00:w00t:
I did laugh
Best quote so far is £550 so about what I was expecting.
Panigale costs ~10 times as much as the YBR?
Insurance is half the cost of mine -_-
I am twice your age and don’t have a London post code though;)
Still seems a little shitty.
Insurance is way overpriced…
Have a look at third party only …
Art junior is insured through CIA and has Third Party only with them at £437.85 fro the CG125, if he goes to TPF&T or Fully Comp that more than doubles and almost trebles. Take care of the theft option by being more vigilant and invest in decent security measures which last a lifetime and come as a one off payment.
I’m TPO for £350, that’s in a very-high-bike-theft area in central London. Would have been £1400 for Comprehensive, same price I paid for the bike!!
I think TPO and investing in a bloody great ALMAX is the way to go
No. No. No. No. No.
This gets said pretty much every single day…
IF THEY REALLY WANT IT, THEY WILL TAKE IT.
Granted, its a 125 and not many people want them but 125s DO get stolen.
If someone wants my YBR, they will take it regardless of security.
TPFT is a minimum.
Right decision.
TPO is not worth anything and a complete waste of money, you may as well not bother insuring it.
****!!! I insure 3 cars AND the bike, all fully comp for less than that!!!![]()
Depends on the bike. I went for TPO on my 2nd year on the CB500 because for TPFT or FC the cost of the insurance plus the excess was more than the value of the bike. So the choice was either insure it for 300 and write it off if it gets stolen or pay 600 plus another 400 excess should it get stolen. That decision was pretty easy. The bike wasn’t exactly desirable either even for parts.
TPO is fine if ya spent less than a weeks wages on the bike in the first place
YES YES YES YES MAYBE - Work out all the numbers …
Consider all the costs of TPF&T vs TP only, including Excess and Market Value and you may be shocked. Juniors renewal was £437.85 for TP against at £1,185.00 for TPF&T with £500 Excess on a motorcycle I’d value at £1,000.
So working out all the numbers to cover the theft option Junior will have to lay out an extra £800 to get £500. Assuming the insurance company agrees on the value he’ll be £300 out of of pocket for the extra cover :w00t:
Then again for every year Junior insures at TP and his motorcycle doesn’t get stolen he’s £800.00 better off, since this was a renewal and he still has the motorcycle
My blade is £1450 fully comp, its eye watering! But i hit 30 next and hope that will help.
Mentioned mine on another thread, TPFT on a GSXR750 K7 & 01 Fazer 600 is £160 with Devitt. 37, 9yrs protected NCD, UB postcode.
