I had my first off!!!

*** With Pictures***

Yes, I have tried to impersonate superman, thanks to a driver practicing a ’ U ’ turn in a Lexus…

I walked out of the hospital with a broken toe!!! Hurray! for the proper protective gear, it did it’s job

So, I am now worried about insurance and the position regarding exhausts…if you know me you’ll know what I mean.

going to pick up the bike tomorrow from where it was taken, so hopefully pics will follow!!

I am ok…just starting to get a bit stiff…

Cheers…TDM

Also I am peed off as I will not be able to ride my bike on the Breast Cancer weekend…anyone want a pillion?

Wish I would be able to just walk away with a broken toe after a bike accident, with the accident insurance I got I’d get at least £1000 just for that

Sorry to hear about your off, bikes mend. It sounds like you got away lightly

As for the exhaust, I take it you didn’t declare it on the insurance? Do you still have the standard one? Does it have “Not for road use” anywhere on it?

my exhaust does not have any markings on it apart from ‘Scorpion’ trade name

ssorry to hear about the accident, hope you mend soon though

as lil miss said put the standard back on or failing that take off the endcan and when insurance assesor has a look say it was not with the bike when returned and ya can claim for a new 1, could have come off when crashed or nicked when bike was left or transported etc etc, you get my drift? lol.

I didnt say that though, ok trojan/porkscratchin?

Sorry to hear about your off TDM nice to hear you didn’t come off to badly, how is the bike?

Damn, bad luck fella! I hope it was handled properly and the claim goes quickly! t-bones aren’t good for riders, or bikes! I doubt the cops will be interested in your exhausts mate, don’t worry!

Same here! No one will be checking your exhaust mate - its not a factor in the accident so no one is interested.

Hope your on the mend soon!

Sorry to hear about the accident, but good to hear your OK. When i had an off through someone doing a no right turn, the bike had an illegal can. never had any problems in with the claim.
I hope you make out of it.

Bloody hell mate sounds as though you got away lightly, all the same get better quick. I have also had an off this week bike is not looking so good… but hey we are not replacable…

Sorry to hear about this mate…didn’t they hear you coming?

sorry to hear about this guys… its the forum of DOOM I tells ya

TDM sorry to hear about the off

Remember my second off … phoned the good lady in tears because of the state of the bike

Heres to a quick recovery

hey mate, sorry to hear of that, we have had a lot of bad luck recently with offs.
get that toe better soon!

Binned the moped in 1975 when someone pulled out in front of me from the right, laid my suzook gently in the dirt having missed a sharp right hander, then trashed the Storm last week when airhead pulled a U turn without looking…how someone could miss ART cans and fluorescent HRC paint scheme… evidently guardian angel was on holiday last week… BC2

Now with pictures on start of post.

The guy panicked and hit the accelerator and not the brake, subsequently going into the corner of a wall!!!

Thanks to Chuffster and Firestorm in a tea cup for helping me pick the bike bike up on Saturday

oh no TDM…

glad to see you are ok tho!!!

what is going on these days???

you, scarer, barro all in one week…

how’s the toe Keith? hope the foot’s not too bady swollen.

TDM,

Only met you last week at Cubana,

Glad you relatively ok. Pics suggest could have been much worse. Can’t belive damage to cage.

Hope you manage to get this sorted quickly thro insurance ((but that never happens does it?!) Have you got photos of accident scene, or even get photos of the site and surrounding area now.

I made claim against an illegal right turn, and photos helped when her statement suggested the road was of a different layout.

Sure illegal pipes won’t be an issue, as your claim is for damage to you and the bike and loss of associated bits of kit and loss of earnings/work. Try for a replacement bike whilst case ongoing.

Make sure that you don’t have some long term injuries, such as soft tissue damage, back injury, or other. These can sometimes take a day or so to become apparent. If so, consult your legal/insurance people.

Speedy recovery of injuries and bike

Sorry about your misfortune…looks like your bike had a really bad time, with a smashed casing.

I know how bad you feel…I had my first off earlier in the year, but not as bad as yours. Hope you’ll be back on the road soon.
