Anyone any idiea why the speedo on my K4-5 model 750 is going mad?
It jumps around all over the place, even when im not moving…
Look down by your left foot the sprocket cover, there is two small bolts holding the speedo sensor into the cover, undo two small bolts take out speedo sensor and good spray with wd40 and re fit. try that mate. because the speedo sensor takes the reading from how fast the front sprocket turns it gets caked in crap from the chain and miss reads somtimes.
aint that a fact - regeared my r1 after 2-3k miles and we pulled loads of oily mud/grime out of there…
Ahhhh so its that world famous Jap build quality again then huh 
Buy a honda rather than a suzuki made of cheese 
could it also be the wiring to the actual speedo. just a thought.
on a similar note though I did get the old girl up to 162mph the other day and i everything just went blurred
