Yep, its official, I have returned home (mores the pity) but I am still in one piece and so is the bike. Got back midnight last night but will be posting up a report for you all, hopefully I can wet your appetite into going! Have some video action but couldn’t run it much as they were kicking people off who did. According to Mr Jeremy Clarksons timing I managed a creditable 8 mins 23 seconds! Its the first time I have had the 636 out on what could be described as a track. The bike went superbly, the new Corsa tyres that it was shod with were supreme. Knees down both sides and lots of people kept looking at my bike when it was parked, I reckon it was the London Bikers logo that did it!
Hope everyone has stayed safe and well while I have been away, hope to catch up soon.
Hey Chuffster, good to have you back! Glad you made it in one piece! Time sounds bloody good, I can’t wait to see the full write-up, and well done for pimping LB
welcome back chuffster! thats quite an impressive time mate, glad to hear ya still in one peice… oh yeah, did you have any luck with the 'ring stickers mate?
One thing I’ve always wondered. Since they’ll let any old loon and his vehicle on the track how do they sort the safety aspect? Lots of people seem to have trouble keeping in check on the open road never mind racing (and overtaking) their supercars round a race track!
Excellent time! Thats excatly my best time on my 636 last year. 8:15 on K1 1000, those fast bits kinda help.
shatter: its a public toll road where the law of the road applies, overtake on the left etc, if you cause an accident the plod will be there to dish out appropriate punishment!
