Helped a guy out today (Dave ?). He’d done the hard bit and found the electrical problem. I had the kit to cut back the wire, splice on a new bit with a new spade connector for him to get going.
No, I don’t carry this stuff with me, he was right outside my house.
He was running late for a meeting so didn’t get much time to talk. Pity as he was riding a Suzuki SV650 engine and ancillaries in a Ducati trellis frame with decent front and rear ends. Apparently a marriage of a knackered ancient Monza and an accident damaged SV.
It’s got to be a few years since I last saw a hybrid/special like that while …er… years ago, these things were common. I even helped stuff a 500 Triumph unit engine into a Greeves frame (an early big trail bike?) a few decades back.
Anybody out there riding something special?
(Turning a 600 Bandit into a 650 Bandit or the like don’t count.)
Import full-power V-Max triked with R1 front calipers, Goodridge hoses throughout, Kliktronic gear changer, rear brakes on right lever, front brake on thumb lever, Barnett heavy-duty clutch, Quaife reverser, Quaife ATB diff in Sierra case, extra 2.5 gal tank with electronic selector switch, fully independent rear suspension, Cobra 4-4 pipes, tune by PDQ.

Triton is good. Is it getting hard to find the parts or are they still out there and easier to get with ebay, etc?
Honsaki looks straight forward but then you look close. Lots of good work.
Hadn’t thought trikes when I posted but they’re nearly all specials and the 7wheelwagon looks and sounds good. Not my bag but I was very impressed with a couple I saw in France. (They also seem to do sidecars with style.)
V Max has got to be a great option as a starting point. Good grunt and they seem to be bomb proof.
Keep them coming. It’s good to know their are still people making things.
