Had a brilliant ride in this morning. Was tagging a group of bikes, Buell lightning, Fazer 1000, Ducati Monster, R6, CB250 (going well!!) and myself mixing and swapping as we filtered Old Kent Road. Mananged to keep a decent position thanks to outright torque and it was a pleasant fun ride in. Got a great kick out of it! Hope you all had a good commute in to dreary London today!
Made me feel better after messing up a roundabout yesterday after leaving Honda in a straight line and then I cornered like a twat! Garrgghh. Don’t like doing that as I was a bit too hard on the brakes and so the rear squiggled a bit. Must have looked like a total idiot to the fellow behind me - apologies to Mr Honda. I should not have risen to the bait and opened throttle and left you behind. Rude of me.
Makman, nice one. I made the same mistake as you did recently, braked too late and ended up doing motogp style into a corner, rear flailing about. I kinda like it, but it looks lame to those watching Wish I could have nice ding-dongs on the way to work… Too short a journey though.
Yes, I’m just painfully aware that it could have gone rather wrong! I scared the crap out of a little Nova that was on the roundabout at the time. Quite simply bad planning on my side of things, but it was rather nice to leave the Honda behind - albeit very foolish of me to have done so. I was doing about “ummm, oh crap I’ve lost my license!” speeds, which was silly.
8 cyclists all stopped at the lights. behind them, about 6 motorbikes, then I rolled up. Still red, so I shouted out, well done guys, its red and you’ve stopped!!
We all rolled up, except the cyclists who have no sense of humour.
So Many Roundabouts have nearly caught me out down here… (not really a Londoner, i’m from Mancs)…if anyone sees me out on the streets, introduce yourself, I ride the shagged RF400 Suzuki, Red… no tail lights and tyres worth more than the bike…lol
