How to speak to bar staff?

bloody hell!!! not ever coming to your pub!!!

So standing at the bar and saying that’s a lovely pair now give us a pint or give a kiss will get me what? :D;)

From u any day :stuck_out_tongue:

Never had trouble with barmaids

I’m sure a lot of those rules would work very well - if ALL barstaff were as efficient as the post makes out. Some are just sh1t !

Well i met my misses when she was working behind a bar and she agrees it comes with the job! and is kinda how I got with her as she found me funny god its not cause of me looks (got in there first)

You are dealing with people having fun and drinking which does make the mouth a little loose (and eyes) its generaly not done to call offence but if you do look good us men cant help ourselfs there are plenty of barmaids and men that try for attention.

oh and maybe you dont order drinks but generally when i go out for a drink i dont want to think so hard so might forget what to order oh well lifes tough.

I do feel if you cant deal with these issues u might be in the wrong job try tesco asda etc where you will rarely be called beautiful more like useless arsehole etc as my misses now does.

Cheer up its nearly winter

Alot of barmaids are rubbish… but i am not 1 of them  am efficient and always been good at my job :D…

Occasionally us barmaids need to vent…

“did you want glasses with those?”

“No thanks, i can see them from here…”

Old ones are the best…

I use to work in an irish pub on heaving saturday nights, great crack, got given an AA membership card once by a guy to pay with, i was in a mega rush like you are and couldnt work out why it wasnt going through the machine! Then i looked over to him and his mates all laughing…

Their drinks got more expensive though the night the more pisseed they got, think i made about £15 outta them in the end…

:w00t: thats really mean :frowning:

The joys of working behind a bar… i don’t miss them

For uni job, you not going to get much else. You kinda have to put up with it.:w00t:

Well i was a manager before i went back this month to uni, was much easier then being a regular staff member…

anyone saying they’re not going to “her” bar based on a comical outlook to a difficult job or have given her shiiit for a pretty good joke clearly havnt worked in a bar and are clearly lacking the skill of patience.

A night spent receiving abuse and sarcky comments from people both inebriated and worse sober! All for minimum wage is a difficult job. When a bar is busy and under staffed which is usually most bars most of the time - the bar staff will do their best to make sure they get through people as quick as they can. It isnt possible to keep a 100% accurate record of whos next, and those who use intimidation or sarcasm to get the bar staffs attention is bang out of order and you’ll probably end up waiting longer. If you find yourself being a miserable fuckkk! waiting at the bar! - its probably too exciting a place for you anyway and my advice is to seek out a quite local pub who are children and dog friendly where you can get yourself a nice easy chair to sit at the bar and drink Bitter.

Bars are busy! you have to wait! - Simple! Dont take it out on those trying to help / do their job.

Nice Vent! Most of them are bang on :D;)
