How to legally run a red light...

  1. Approach the redlight, stop and wait for 2 minutes.

  2. If there’s no traffic coming, the motorcyclist can move on.

And the catch is…

you need to move to South Carolina first. :stuck_out_tongue:

More Info…

I still havent decided whether its the coolest thing or the most stupidly unsafe thing?

In some US states, you can legally turn right on red lights if there’s nothing else coming (and if you misjudge that and have a smash, then it’s your fault).

and there was me waiting to told all I had to do was remove my number plate :D:D

Wow, I wish Billy “Reb” Richardson would move to London and help us get Westminster and NCP to stop charging for bike parking. While he’s at it he can get all London Boroughs to let us use all bus lanes permanently, and get Boris’ scheme to be permanent and include ALL TfL’s bus lanes. And he can get all motorcycles and motorcycle clothing and other motorcycle-related items zero-rated for VAT.

I would vote for him

And who cares that he rides a Harley

Surely it’s easier to just put a couple of magnets down near his subcowling or foot boards… that should trigger the induction loops, shouldn’t it?

Ive heard mixed stories about that, some say it works, others say it doesnt. My take is that it works on 80% of sensors, but some just dont get tripped as easily.

But i think ive decided this is an ok law… it simply turns the red light into a give way right? (after 2mins)

not such a big deal.

When the full cycle of red-green-red lights at the junction don’t recognize your presence can go through or is it - sit there all night til the rush hour in the morning, do a U-turn and find another way around, or go through it.

The lights nearest the Ace have no sensor on top of the under pass turning right for Hanger Lane.

Another one is on the A1001 Galleria in Hatfield coming south this doesn’t reconise the weight of an Artic in the inside lane.

I personally go through if no camera and it’s safe of course.
