How sad

Regarding the A40 fatal accident some relatives of the victim had left flowers and fruits in his memory. I think he may be a very young chap. RIP

well, im a 36 year old chap. i wonder what they(my relatives)will leave for me then…:laugh:RIP rider.

There’s been two fatal RTA’s where I live just recently. One, just down the road to me, where a pedestrian lurched into the path of a vehicle and died as as result. The other, was around the corner, where a biker was hit by a car and also died . At both sites there are now piles of flowers and cards from, one assumes, Family and friends. My opinion of this is that it should not be allowed as it is distracting other drivers from paying attention to their driving, because they are craning their necks to see what the flowers are all about. The site where the pedestrian died is at a Mini-roundabout,where if you leave my house, and go towards the site, as you approach the round-about the flowers are on your left but the traffic is coming in on your right . I’ve been following cars and you can see that they are looking left, even ducking low to try and see all the detail, missing the vehicle entering on their right and then it’s PANIC,smokin’ tyres and skid marks. So, in the interest of safety, don’t do it.

Ok then! :ermm:

Hear wot ya saying mick.

Had a fatal bike crash nr me, nr roth tunnel a place where cars cut across the cen reservation to do a u-turn etc, it is only meant for right turn only, any way people put flowers on the lamp post in the middle of the road so basically the flowers were blocking the view of the oncoming traffic, should be thought about more.

I understand the flowers but I don’t get the fruit bit.

I guess it were his favourite fruits…as your favourite food is roasted monkey nuts and cheap cider…

oh i see easyrider, just like karaahi ghosht & fresh naan is yours?.
